BEAR celebrates 10 years of helping businesses grow

Halfway through the year, 2012 looks to be a good one for businesses in Yellowstone County. Our diverse economy is seeing decent growth and small businesses are seeing renewed hope as sales trend in a very positive direction. But as sales increase, so can the number of issues a company may face. Like that doctor’s visit we keep putting off, a business checkup might be just what a small business needs. One program in Yellowstone County is designed to do just that and provide a “prescription” for continued growth.
In 2002, the BEAR (Business Expansion and Retention) program was formed in the Billings area to help businesses succeed in the business environment. Whether an entrepreneur is starting a new business, building on their existing client base or expanding into new horizons, the BEAR resource team can help. BEAR was designed to give local businesses an opportunity to seek advice from business professionals who recognize the joys and struggles of managing or owning a small or medium-sized business.
