In seven months, Rimrock Auto has doubled staff and inventory and pumped a half million dollars into its new Laurel Chevrolet dealership.
On Monday, Rimrock Auto officials said they hope these improvements will help them better compete for the growing vehicle market west of Billings.
“We’re kind of done with (renovation and expansion). Now it’s time to sell cars,” said co-owner Steve Zabawa of Billings-based Rimrock Auto.
About 30 people were at a grand opening for Rimrock Auto’s first Chevrolet dealership, known for decades as Fichtner Chevrolet. Rimrock bought the dealership at 202 S.E. Fourth St. last August, and former owner Ken Fichtner remains as general manager.
