Selling to the Government PTAC Program

PTACs provide a wide range of assistance to businesses through one-on-one counseling sessions, classes, seminars and matchmaking events.

The Procurement Technical Assistance Program (PTAP) was authorized by Congress in 1985 to expand the number of small businesses capable of successfully participating in the government marketplace. PTAP provides federal funding for Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (PTACs) located throughout the United States and US territories.

Montana has nine PTACs staffed by advisors experienced in business and government acquisitions. Our staff members also participate in ongoing training, enabling them to keep pace with the continually changing government marketplace.

PTACs provide a wide range of assistance to businesses – most free of charge –through one-on-one counseling sessions, classes, seminars and matchmaking events. Whether your business is in the beginning, intermediate or advanced stages of government contracting, you can contact the Montana PTAC nearest you for assistance.
