Big Sky Economic Development in partnership with the Montana Works Trade Center, Butte Local Development Corporation, Missoula Economic Partnership, Prosper Montana (Bozeman), and Montana Goernor’s Office of Economic Development attended the Select USA Summit. This summit focuses on foreign companies who are looking to expand into the USA. In addition to working at the Montana booth, the BSED team had seven quality meetings with foreign companies whose industry and growth plans had potential in the Billings market. Industries included oil and gas, healthcare products and technologies, cyber security, renewable energy and manufacturing.
At the booth we leveraged Visit Billing’s Tourism video, which drew people in, along with Caramel Cookie Waffles from Billings and Crispy Lentils from Scobey which served as great conversation starters.
As with all recruitment work, the fortune is in the follow-up. We hope to have some tangible “wins” to share in the upcoming months!
